Key: IM = intramuscular; PCV = pneumococcal conjugate vaccine; PPSV = pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine; SC = subcutaneous ¹ Serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae. ² Contraindicated in patients with allergy to any diphtheria toxoid-containing vaccine, aluminum phosphate, polysorbate 80 (polysorbate 20 for Vaxneuvance). ³ Also indicated for the prevention of otitis media due to serotypes 4, 6B, 9V, 14, 18C, 19F, and 23F. ⁴ Incomplete series of another pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. ⁵ The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has recommendations for revaccination against pneumococcal disease for patients at high risk who were previously vaccinated with Pneumovax 23.
