Indications

Treatment ("rescue") of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in premature infants.

Curosurf Dosage and Administration

Adult

Children

See full labeling. Give by intratracheal administration through an endotracheal tube. Each dose should be administered as 2 aliquots. Initial dose of 2.5mL/kg birth weight; may give 2 more doses of 1.25mL/kg birth weight at 12-hour intervals.

Warnings/Precautions

Should only be administered by trained and experienced personnel in the care, resuscitation, and stabilization of pre-term infants. Perform frequent assessments so that oxygen and ventilatory support can be adjusted to respond to respiratory changes.
