Stromectol Indications

Indications

Intestinal strongyloidiasis due to Strongyloides stercoralis. Onchocerciasis due to immature Onchocerca volvulus.

Stromectol Dosage and Administration

Adults and Children

<15kg: not established. Take with water. ≥15kg: Give as a single dose. Strongyloidiasis: 200mcg/kg. Onchocerciasis: 150mcg/kg; may retreat after 3 months.

Hyperreactive onchodermatitis. Immunocompromised. Pregnancy, nursing mothers: not recommended.

Stromectol Adverse Reactions

Adverse Reactions

Strongyloidiasis: dizziness, pruritus, GI disturbances. Onchocerciasis: Mazzotti reactions (eg, arthralgia/synovitis, swollen lymph nodes, tenderness), ophthalmologic effects, pruritus, rash, fever, tachycardia, edema. Both: hypotension, neurotoxicity.
