Flumadine Indications

Indications

Influenza A infections.

Flumadine Dosage and Administration

Adult

Prophylaxis or treatment: 100mg twice daily. Hepatic dysfunction, renal failure (CrCl ≤10mL/min), or elderly in nursing home: 100mg daily. Treat for at least 7 days after initial symptoms.

Children

<1yr: not recommended. 1–9yrs: prophylaxis: 5mg/kg daily; max 150mg daily. ≥10yrs: as adult.

Discontinue if seizures develop. Epilepsy. Renal or hepatic dysfunction. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.
