Indications
Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea.
Dificid Dosage and Administration
Adult
Use tabs. ≥18yrs: 200mg twice daily for 10 days.
Children
<6months: not established. Use oral susp. Give twice daily for 10 days (w. oral dosing syringe). 6months–<18yrs (4–<7kg): 80mg; (7–<9kg): 120mg; (9–<12.5kg): 160mg; (≥12.5kg): 200mg (as oral susp or tabs if able to swallow).

Not effective for treating other types of infections (minimal systemic absorption). Known macrolide allergy. Discontinue if severe hypersensitivity reactions occur. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.
