Efudex Cream Indications
Indications
Multiple actinic or solar keratoses. Superficial basal cell carcinoma when conventional therapy is impractical (5% only); see full labeling.
Efudex Cream Dosage and Administration
Adult
Keratoses: Apply twice daily until erosion occurs (usually 2–4 wks). Basal cell carcinoma (5% only): Apply twice daily, usually for 3–6 weeks (obliteration may take 10–12 weeks).

Contraindications
Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) deficiency. Pregnancy.

Warnings/Precautions
Do not apply into eyes, nose, or mouth. Avoid mucous membranes, occlusion, ulcerated/inflamed skin, exposure to UV light. Wash hands after application if fingers were used. Advise patients of expected skin reaction. Biopsy unresponsive lesions. Nursing mothers: not recommended.
